About TrainTopia (Museum of the American Railroad)

The Museum of the American Railroad was founded in 1963 and it strives to preserve locomotives from the steam and diesel-electric era, and it also preserves and restores passenger coaches. At the Museum of the American Railroad, you can find one of the largest collections of Pullman Cars in the United States. Among the many trains on display, you will find the Union Pacific 4018, which was nicknamed the ”Big Boy”; the 1969 Union Pacific DD-40 “Centennial;” the streamlined Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 electric locomotive; Pullman cars, including the Glengyle, Glen Nevis, and the San Bartolo; a Missouri-Kansas-Texas dining car; a Santa Fe Parlor Club Car from 1914; and much, much more!
