About Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Enjoy a leisurely guided tour at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, where you can come face-to-face with some of the world’s most fascinating animals. Marvel at the giraffe’s towering height, engage with curious ostriches, and encounter exotic animals like kudu, cheetah, addax, and more. Nestled on 1,800 acres near Glen Rose, Texas, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is dedicated to the conservation of species in peril, education, scientific research, recreational experiences, and professional training. It actively participates in Species Survival Plans (SSP) for a variety of animals including Attwater’s prairie chicken, several rhinoceros and giraffe species, wolves, and more, contributing to both local and global conservation efforts.
